WWE reportedly “still hasn’t figured out what to do” with Carlito amidst return rumors

Carlito did not appear on the July 7th edition of WWE Smackdown at Madison Square Garden in New York City despite rumors that it was the targeted date for his official return to the company. At the time, it was reported that the company didn’t want Carlito’s return to be overshadowed by The Bloodline storyline.

According to Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com, it’s believed that Carlito has been signed with WWE since early July. Meltzer stated the following during Wrestling Observer Radio…

“He signed at the start of July. He pulled off of all his indies, so he was ready to start, he signed. He had a start-date, he was there, but they couldn’t figure out what to do with him, and they still haven’t figured out what to do with him.” (quote courtesy of RingsideNews.com)

There have been rumors about Carlito returning to WWE television for months and teaming up with the Latino World Order following his appearance at the 2023 Backlash PLE in Puerto Rico.
