WWE news items regarding John Cena, Alexa Bliss, and Dragon Lee ahead of the 2025 Royal Rumble

* Other than his appearance at RAW’s Netflix debut, John Cena has not been on WWE television to promote the Royal Rumble. Meltzer noted that Cena has been filming the movie “Matchbox” this month and that’s why he hasn’t been around. Cena is the betting odds favorite to win the Rumble match.

* Last week, it was reported that WWE canceled plans to bring back Alexa Bliss on the January 13th 2025 edition of RAW due to her and the company failing to reach a financial agreement on a new contract. Alexa’s future with WWE remains uncertain as Meltzer wrote that WWE and Alexa “were at least far enough apart that people are talking about not expecting a deal to be made.”

* Dragon Lee has been absent from WWE television due to his wife giving birth. Despite the lack of a push in recent months, Lee is said to be “very happy” with his position in WWE as he’s making “far more money” than he was before.
