WWE has reportedly offered a new contract to Karrion Kross
It was reported by Fightful.com that the WWE contracts of Karrion Kross and Scarlett were set to expire this coming weekend. While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com noted the following about Kross’ status with WWE…
“I was told the story about him not being signed to a contract, I heard that is legit, but that he did get an offer. Maybe when the story that he didn’t get an offer was written it was accurate, but I was told he’s gotten an offer and I don’t expect him going anywhere.
It’s almost like the way this whole thing went down, I was thinking this is like.. the R-Truth thing was a shoot, & it did so well that it’s like ‘maybe we can work everyone with another R-Truth story’ — They’re gonna work and work and work because they think that’s the deal. The surprise. People got mad at me for even suggesting this, but the amount of distrust that will be there six months from now is gonna be pretty damn high.” (quote courtesy of WrestlePurists.com)
While speaking to Ariel Helwani this week, Paul Heyman said the following about Kross…
“The audience is calling for him to be a bigger star. If we don’t deliver it on a correct timetable… an impatient audience is going to get behind him even more.
It reminds me of someone else… We’re gonna chant his name, we’re gonna bring his signs, we’re gonna buy his t-shirts. We’re gonna demand that you make him a bigger star. That guy’s name was Steve Austin.”
Paul Heyman compares the momentum behind @realKILLERkross to the initial rise of Stone Cold Steve Austin 👀
