Widow of Hulk Hogan denies Ric Flair’s claim that he died from street drugs
During an interview with the Doubl3 Coverage podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair said the following about Hulk Hogan’s death at the age of 71: “I talked to him the day before he died. I shouldn’t say this, but what killed him was street drugs.”
Hulk Hogan’s widow, Sky, flatly denied Flair’s claim to TMZ.com, saying “that didn’t happen at all.” Sky also said Flair did not speak with Hogan the day before he died and explained that Hogan had been under constant care at Morton Plant Hospital, meaning Flair must have been misinformed. According to Sky, the only medication changes came after Hogan’s neck procedure to protect his lungs. Two additional family sources also said Flair’s claim was completely untrue.
The family reportedly isn’t upset with Flair as they acknowledge he was a close friend of Hogan’s but they felt it was important to clarify that he was wrong.
Flair addressed the TMZ’s report via Twitter/X…
“Okay Sky! I Got Bad Information According To You. I Should Have Never Mentioned It. I Have Known Hogan Since 1979. Let’s Just Move Past This And Concentrate On His Legacy. Period, End Of Story. Let’s PRESERVE HIS LEGACY Rather Than Dwell On Any Negative Energy. I Repeat- Hulkamania Forever!”
