What WWE is reportedly considering in regards to Cody Rhodes’ return
As previously noted, Cody Rhodes had surgery last week to repair a torn pectoral muscle. During the June 10th 2022 edition of WWE Smackdown, Michael Cole said that Rhodes could be out of action for up to nine months.
According to Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com, most people including Cody himself expect him to return sooner than nine months. WWE filmed Cody’s surgery and the footage is expected to be used for future video packages. Meltzer speculated that Cody could be brought back for the 2023 Royal Rumble and added that “there is at least talk right now of giving him the HHH 2001/2002 treatment where his return is built up to be a huge deal.”
A post-surgery photo surfaced of Cody at the Nightmare Factory as his students were shown a Bret Hart vs. Mr. Perfect match…
I immediately text Cody and asked why I wasn’t invited.
