What is being said about The Rock’s status for Wrestlemania 41 following WWE RAW’s debut on Netflix

As seen during the Netflix premiere of WWE RAW on January 6th 2025, Roman Reigns defeated Solo Sikoa in a tribal combat match. Afterwards, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson put the ula fala around Reigns’ neck and hugged him.

According to Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com, people within WWE have stated that Rock vs. Cody Rhodes (the match originally planned to headline Wrestlemania 41) is not happening. However, there is still a possibility of Rock vs. Reigns even though it’s believed that Rock hasn’t committed to anything.

Meltzer noted the following…

“The idea of Rock vs. Reigns we have been told by several is not dead and they still could go to that in the future, perhaps Mania but the idea of somewhere else, particularly with the crazy money some places are paying fighters, that could also be an option. It’s up to him if he wants and has time to go through the training camp he feels is necessary to prepare himself at his age to do the match.”
