What is being said about The Rock’s status for Wrestlemania 41 ahead of WWE RAW’s premiere on Netflix

The Netflix premiere of WWE RAW takes place on January 6th 2025 from the brand-new Intuit Dome in Los Angeles. There has been speculation about Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson potentially appearing on the show.

With the premiere less than a week away, Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com noted the following about The Rock’s status with WWE…

“Nobody had directly told us that Dwayne Johnson will be on the show, but I would think there’s a good shot of it. There is a belief he’s doing Wrestlemania, although nobody knows what capacity and as noted, [John] Cena vs. [Cody] Rhodes is right now scheduled meaning the original plans for Rhodes vs. Rock are off.”

It was reiterated that Rock will do “whatever he wants” and if he has a prominent role at Wrestlemania 41, there is an least an expectation that something will be teased on the Netflix premiere of RAW. It was also stated that people within WWE believe Rock will appear at Wrestlemania in some form.

Ibou of WrestlePurists.com wrote the following on Twitter/X about the situation with Rock…

“All I know is that when I talk to people within the company about Mania, they’re all extremely uneasy about Dwayne’s looming presence. The unknown of whether he’s gonna do the show or not has caused everyone to essentially proceed forward with bated breath and a lack of clarity.”
