What is being said about Ricky Starks potentially heading to WWE when his AEW contract expires

In the spring of 2024, Ricky Starks told WhatCulture.com that he didn’t know why he wasn’t on AEW television and said things were out of his control. Starks expressed interest in being part of AEW All In 2024 but didn’t want to set himself up for disappointment.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com, numerous WWE sources have stated that there is “certainly interest” in a number of AEW stars if they become available. Starks is said to be one of those people but it’s unknown if he has been in contact with WWE. It also hasn’t been confirmed how much time Starks has left on his deal with AEW.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com said the following about AEW not using Starks…

“I think that there’s a lot of people who think he’s headed to WWE because of Cody [Rhodes], and so they’re not investing in him right now. I think that’s basically the mindset. We’ll see what happens.” (quote courtesy of WrestlingInc.com)

Starks recently talked about the video footage of himself being in attendance at WWE Wrestlemania 40 to witness Cody’s WWE title win.
