What is being said about Kenny Omega’s health situation amidst AEW return speculation

As previously noted, Kenny Omega announced that he is out of action “indefinitely” with what was reported as diverticulitis.

There has been speculation about Omega’s return as he was one of the wrestlers advertised for AEW’s Dynamite/Rampage upcoming event in Toronto on March 20th 2024. However, Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com noted that people shouldn’t read too much into it yet and he isn’t expecting Omega back by that time. Meltzer stated that there is no time frame for Omega’s return.

Meltzer wrote the following in regards to Omega not having surgery right after his diagnosis…

“Due to the inflammation being so bad he couldn’t have surgery at the time and as of last week still hadn’t had it. The decision will be made in about seven weeks, based on his healing, on whether he’ll need surgery or not, but if he does, that would put him out of action significantly longer.”
