What is being said about Jeff Hardy’s status with AEW now that his brother Matt is no longer under contract

As previously noted, Matt Hardy made his return to TNA Wrestling at the end of the 2024 Rebellion PPV event but is still a free agent. In regards to his brother Jeff’s status, Fightful Select reports that his AEW deal might be up much sooner than expected.

Fightful noted the following…

“Originally, it was believed that AEW had extended Jeff Hardy’s deal into 2025 due to injury and sabbatical time. As of late March, that wasn’t the case. At that period, Hardy’s deal was set to expire sometime in the Spring, based on what Jeff Hardy told other talent at recent conventions.”

However, Fightful added that time could still be added to Jeff’s deal. Jeff hasn’t wrestled since he was injured by Sammy Guevara during the February 16th 2024 edition of AEW Rampage.
