What is being said about Daniel Garcia’s absence from AEW following the 2024 All Out PPV event
As seen during the 2024 AEW All Out PPV event, MJF defeated Daniel Garcia but was laid out with an avalanche piledriver after the match. Garcia is reportedly under contract with AEW through October and remains in discussions with the company.
During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com discussed Garcia’s absence from AEW television since All Out…
“I don’t think that they want to put him on TV until he makes the commitment. And I get it. Why? You can use the TV time for people who are signed. As far as what’s going to happen with him…I would say that the almost surety or the strong confidence that he was signing, I wouldn’t say that it’s as strong. I wouldn’t say that he’s leaving either but it’s not as strong as it was a month ago. He may leave. The fact he didn’t sign before the last pay-per-view was one that is like, ‘Hey, wait a minute, why didn’t he sign before the last pay-per-view?’ It made a difference.” (quote courtesy of WrestlingNews.co)
Cory of PW Nexus noted on Twitter/X that WWE is reportedly “chomping at the bit” to sign Garcia if he becomes legally available.
Sources tell me WWE is “chomping at the bit” to sign Daniel Garcia if he were to come available when his contract is set to expire next month. As of right now, Garcia has still not re-signed with AEW https://t.co/neCQ6CpQjO pic.twitter.com/1s24Sjefnd
