What is being said about CM Punk or Britt Baker potentially being the AEW “Devil”

As previously noted, former AEW star CM Punk reportedly wanted to make a WWE return but the company “turned him down” and he’s not expected to be back for now. Despite the reports, fans are still speculating about Punk potentially returning to WWE or being the person wearing the “Devil” mask on AEW television.

In regards to the identities of the “Devil” and the other masked people on AEW television, Fightful Select noted that several people within the company reportedly know who they are but have done a good job at keeping things quiet. It’s believed that the masked attackers are being portrayed by the actual people they will eventually be revealed as.

A couple of names have seemingly been ruled out as the “Devil” with Fightful stating the following…

“Those that we’ve spoken to are of the belief it isn’t CM Punk, and saying that it would be a huge work on those in the know if so. It goes without saying, but he hasn’t been portraying the person under the mask.”

Britt Baker publicly denied that she is the “Devil” and Fightful also addressed speculation surrounding her…

“Dr. Britt Baker DMD hasn’t been under the mask, either, so her comments within interviews this past week were not a swerve, if people in the company are to be believed.”
