What happened with CM Punk and Drew McIntyre during the 1/29/24 edition of WWE RAW

The January 29th 2024 edition of WWE RAW opened with a CM Punk promo. Punk confirmed that he suffered a torn triceps injury at the 2024 Royal Rumble PLE. Punk called it a “bump in the road” and said “there’s always next year” in regards to headlining Wrestlemania.

Drew McIntyre interrupted the promo and said he prayed for Punk to get hurt. McIntyre said he is going to live Punk’s dream again by facing the world heavyweight champion at Wrestlemania.

Punk responded by saying he is coming for McIntyre first when he returns. McIntyre tried to take a cheap shot but Punk fought back. However, McIntyre was able to knock down Punk with a Glasgow kiss and then stomped on Punk’s arm. Sami Zayn ran down to make the save for Punk.
