What happened during Rhea Ripley vs. Nia Jax at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on 1/25/25

Rhea Ripley (c) vs. Nia Jax for the women’s world title took place at the WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on January 25th 2025. Here are the highlights…

* Nia attacked Rhea with a headbutt during the intrdouctions. Rhea was quickly able to fight back but then Nia regained the upper hand with a popup headbutt. Nia gave Rhea an avalanche Samoan drop but Rhea was able to kick out.

* Rhea was able to counter Nia with a code red but Nia kicked out. Nia countered the riptide with a Samoan drop and then came off the second rope with a legdrop. Rhea managed to powerbomb Nia out of the corner but Nia was able to recover. Nia went to the outside and Rhea came off the top to the outside with a crossbody.

* Back in the ring, Nia countered riptide again. Nia delivered the annihilator and went for another one but Rhea caught her and delivered an electric chair. Rhea was finally able to hit the riptide to score the victory.
