Wardlow reportedly injured again following his return to AEW at the 2025 Forbidden Door PPV event

After being out of action for a lengthy period of time, Wardlow made his return to AEW at the 2025 Forbidden Door PPV event. However, Wardlow did not appear on the September 3rd edition of Dynamite with the Don Callis Family.

Wardlow, who has dealt with multiple injuries in the past, is reportedly hurt again. According to Fightful Select, sources within AEW stated that the injury is feared to be a torn pectoral muscle. If that is the case, Wardlow could potentially be on the shelf for several months. While not confirmed, it was suggested that the injury actually took place upon his return angle.

Fellow talent in AEW were said to have been “bummed out about the news after Wardlow had waited so long to get back on TV and battled injuries.”

Prior to his comeback, Wardlow had not wrestled in AEW since the March 13th 2024 “Big Business” edition of Dynamite. During the Stick To Wrestling podcast in September of 2024, Wardlow’s Undisputed Kingdom teammate Matt Taven stated that Wardlow was out with a knee injury. Once he was cleared, Wardlow participated in the new season of American Gladiators.
