Vince McMahon reportedly made “a lot of changes” to 6/23/23 WWE Smackdown that left people “frustrated”

Santos Escobar vs. Butch vs. LA Knight in a Money in the Bank “momentum” match had been advertised for the June 23rd 2023 edition of WWE Smackdown. However, WWE ended up changing the match on Friday evening to Knight vs. Rey Mysterio. Bayley vs. Shotzi (with Bayley’s MITB spot on the line) and Cameron Grimes vs. Baron Corbin were also removed from WWE.com’s preview on Friday evening.

Twitter account @WRKDWrestling noted that plans for Smackdown changed throughout the day and several people were left “frustrated” over the situation. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com confirmed that Smackdown “got Vinced” and there were “a lot of changes” made to the show.

McMahon has been making changes to WWE shows since his return and there was a “huge negative shift in morale” at the RAW after Wrestlemania 39.
