Vince McMahon and Tony Khan references made during John Cena vs. Cody Rhodes promo battle on WWE RAW
As seen during the March 31st 2025 edition of WWE RAW, there was another verbal confrontation between John Cena and world champion Cody Rhodes to hype up their match at WrestleMania 41. At one point, Cena said the following to Cody…
“I’m not gonna cook you, I’m gonna BURY you, just like I buried everyone else. I don’t bury talent. I am talent. I bury mediocrity.”

Cody responded with a reference to Vince McMahon…
“You know who chose me? They [the fans] chose me. Can you say the same, John Cena? Or was it one guy in an office who chose you who isn’t here anymore and we don’t talk about him.”
Cody Rhodes insinuated he only became "the guy" because he was picked by Vince McMahon. #WWERaw pic.twitter.com/J4QO46TMRo
