Video: What happened during Karrion Kross vs. Johnny Gargano on WWE NXT

Karrion Kross defeated Johnny Gargano on the July 13th 2021 edition of WWE NXT to retain the NXT world title. During the match, Gargano escaped a submission by getting to the ropes. Kross didn’t let go away right after so referee Samoa Joe grabbed Kross. Joe later prevented Kross from using the steel steps as a weapon.

After the match, Joe and Kross had a staredown. Joe started to leave but then Kross put Joe in the Kross jacket submission.
