Updated details regarding the situation with Bobby Lashley and MVP possibly leaving WWE

Over the weekend, it was reported that Bobby Lashley’s WWE contract is set to expire in the near future. There was also a claim that both Lashley and MVP have been removed from WWE’s internal roster.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com provided some additional details on the situation. According to Johnson, MVP’s current WWE contract is up in mid-August but there have not been any major discussions as of yet about a new deal. There had apparently been talk at some point of him working as a producer or announcer.

Johnson noted the following about Lashley’s status…

”We are told that there was a WWE contract offer made but it wasn’t one that immediately made him ‘jump to sign’ as one source commented and that Lashley has strongly considered seeing what he would be worth out on the market. We were not able to confirm as of this writing when Lashley’s current deal would expire.”

The current belief is that both men will be leaving WWE when their deals expire. In regards to a potential Hurt Business reunion, they would have to change the group’s name as WWE is believed to have ownership of the trademark.
