Update regarding when Mariah May’s contract with AEW will be expiring amid WWE speculation
Mariah May has not appeared in AEW since her loss to Toni Storm at the 2025 Revolution PPV event. Since then, there has been speculation about Mariah potentially heading to WWE when her AEW contract expires.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com noted the following regarding Mariah’s status with AEW…
“PWInsider is told that May still has ‘significant time’ left on her contract so anyone expecting an imminent appearance would be disappointed. One source believed May’s AEW deal could run through November of this year while another believe that there may be additional time beyond that.”
According to Johnson, a rumor made the rounds after Revolution that May had requested a release from her AEW deal but there wasn’t a confirmation of the information being accurate. At this time, Mariah is still under contract to AEW but it’s unknown if or when she will be brought back to television.
Fightful.com noted that while some believe Mariah is expected to go WWE, there are sources who claim she’s being wise and maximizing her leverage and negotiating power. AEW reportedly wants to retain Mariah’s services.
