Update regarding longtime WWE executive Kevin Dunn’s retirement from the company

As previously noted, longtime WWE executive Kevin Dunn is reportedly leaving the company. Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com, who first broke the story, provided additional details about Dunn’s retirement…

“He was not asked to leave and was not fired. He told the company over Christmas week he was done. There was a push to have him stay through The Royal Rumble or Wrestlemania and he preferred a clean cut and is done effective immediately.”

Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com also noted the following about Dunn leaving WWE…

“I was told that this was known internally by a few, but not most as people I heard from last night were surprised, and they knew maybe a few weeks at most although the process goes back a couple of months and really has to do with Vince McMahon being out of power.”
