Update regarding Adam Cole’s WWE contract and when he can appear on AEW television
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com, Adam Cole is no longer working for WWE and noted that “it is not a case of Cole having signed a new deal for the main roster and being hidden until his debut.” While the speculation is that Cole will be heading to AEW, it’s still possible that Cole could reach a new deal with WWE.
Fightful.com noted that Cole’s contract actually doesn’t expire until Friday which would rule out Cole being to appear on this week’s AEW Dynamite or Rampage. Sean Ross Sapp wrote the following…
“I’ve seen the reports that Cole is already a free agent, and I’ve been told repeatedly that isn’t true.”
Johnson clarified his report with the following…
“He [Cole] still has several days on his deal to go, but internally, WWE considers him done with the company.”
