Update on WWE possibly running a PLE in the United Kingdom during 2022
For months, it has been rumored that WWE will be running a premium live event in the United Kingdom during 2022. Back in September of 2021, Andrew Pollard of WhatCulture.com reported the following…
“A source has informed us that WWE currently has plans to run a major PPV in the UK next September. Not just that, but Vince McMahon’s sports entertainment juggernaut is looking to make this a stadium show and is targeting an attendance of somewhere in the region of 90,000 fans if possible.”
Twitter account @WrestleVotes provided an update on the story…
“Source states the long-awaited WWE United Kingdom PPV return will take place Saturday, September 3rd at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales.
That is the same weekend as AEW’s ‘All Out’ PPV.”
Principality Stadium has a listed capacity of 74,500.
