Update on why ticket sales for WWE Wrestlemania 37 were delayed

Tickets for the WWE Wrestlemania 37 event at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, FL were initially scheduled to go on sale March 16th but there was a delay. Reporter Jon Alba of Spectrum Sports 360 provided an update regarding what happened…

So #WWE had mentioned on TV that Monday night logistics were still being worked out, hence the delay. This would indicate a contract was not done between both sides at the time of the initial planned sale. Eventually, they went on-sale later that week. #WrestleMania

When the on-sale date for tickets was originally announced, I had put a public records request with the Tampa Sports Authority. I was told on 3/15 that they couldn't find anything.

Turns out the reason why is a contract hadn't been signed yet, despite the ticket plan. #WWE
