Update on the contractual status of Kevin Owens in WWE heading into 2025

This past May during an interview with The Metro UK to promote the 2024 Backlash: France PLE, Kevin Owens noted that he had nine months left on his WWE contract. It was later reported that Owens had been approached for a new contract.

While it hasn’t been confirmed that Owens has signed a new deal, @WrestleVotes commented on Owens’ contractual status with WWE via WrestleVotes Radio from Sportskeeda.com’s Backstage Pass Patreon…

“I did reach out and talked to a couple of people. [I] didn’t get a definitive one way or the other, an absolute [that] the deal has been signed, but [I] did get a positive response that it’s very close if not completed with a handshake. Owens turned heel following the 2024 Bad Blood PPV event and is now feuding with WWE Champion Cody Rhodes.
