Update on Carlito’s WWE status after he didn’t appear at Smackdown in New York City

Carlito did not appear on the July 7th edition of WWE Smackdown at Madison Square Garden in New York City despite rumors that it was the targeted date for his official return to the company.

In an update, Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com was told by WWE sources that Carlito traveled to the Northeast for the company that weekend. Carlito was reportedly waiting for a flight from Pittsburgh on Sunday which is where WWE’s medical program is located.

Johnson also noted the following…

“One WWE source noted that Carlito’s return on last week’s Smackdown ‘would have been lost in the wake of the Bloodline’ so it was for the best he didn’t return that evening. The LWO was used only for cameo appearances on the episode.”
