Update on AJ Lee’s status with WWE heading into WrestleMania 42 season

As seen during the 2025 WWE Wrestlepalooza PLE, CM Punk and AJ Lee defeated Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch. After the match, AJ stated that “it felt amazing“ to be back in a wrestling ring.

According to WrestleVotes Radio, a showdown between AJ and Becky is viewed as one of the more “locked-in” matches for the WrestleMania 42 card. While creative plans have already shifted on the road to WrestleMania, it was noted that this specific encounter has been in the works for quite some time.

AJ has not appeared since Survivor Series: War Games and hasn’t wrestled in a singles match since her WWE comeback.
