Triple H issues statement AAA’s future following the TripleMania XXXIII event

Following AAA’s TripleMania XXXIII event on Saturday night, Paul “Triple H” Levesque issued the following statement regarding the promotion’s future…

“In looking at the landscape of the wrestling world, overall, there was a thought of places that we could amplify what they do. One of the first and foremost markets that we thought of was Mexico. How can we help to grow what they do? How can we help to add to it?”

“I think Worlds Collide showed people what it would really be, that it would be authentic, that it would be the lucha that they love. But I felt like it was just a start. And realistically, it was. It wasn’t our promotion. It was legitimately a realistic joint promotion. This is now us. This is now WWE. While, sometimes an event like TripleMania can feel like the end of a run, like a Super Bowl of the Finals, this is really the start. This is day one.”
