Top WWE NXT was reportedly scheduled to appear on RAW this week

As previously noted, Samoa Joe relinquished the WWE NXT title just two days before the beginning of the NXT 2.0 era.

According to Fightful Select, an original script for WWE RAW called for Joe to actually appear on this week’s broadcast. Fightful also stated the following…

“We’re not sure what Joe was scheduled to do or if he’ll remain on the program, but we were told it was in relation to promoting the relaunch of NXT on Tuesday night.”

Fightful is also reporting that Money in the Bank holder Big E is expected to be on the show.

Here is what is scheduled for tonight’s show…

* WWE United States Champion Damian Priest’s Open Challenge

* Natalya vs. Rhea Ripley

* Charlotte Flair vs. Shayna Baszler

* The New Day, Mansoor, and Mustafa Ali vs. AJ Styles, Omos, T-Bar, and Mace

* Bobby Lashley vs. Randy Orton for the WWE Title

This will be the first RAW up against the new NFL football season.
