Tony Khan considering the idea of permanently starting AEW PPV events at an earlier time

While speaking to media after the 2025 AEW All Out PPV event, AEW President Tony Khan was asked about the idea of permanently starting AEW PPV events at an earlier time. Here was Khan’s response…

“It’s definitely something to think about, especially on Saturdays with the way the schedule works and what we’re doing. I do think there’s something to it, and it’s something to consider also on some of the Sundays. It’s been tremendous for three straight pay-per-views. The point you’re making is definitely something I’ve taken into consideration.

At All In Texas, that early start time and having that manageable start time in the UK made sense. Then we were in London at the O2 for Forbidden Door, and that also had that same kind of domestic afternoon start time here in North America—like today’s show, tonight’s show. That makes it the third straight pay-per-view with an afternoon start time on the East Coast, and the third straight pay-per-view that’s been in prime time in the UK. We’ve had great results and great buys from the UK. The TV ratings there are through the roof. Absolutely. That’s a huge consideration for us. So yes, that is a big part of it, and I’m really glad you asked because it’s absolutely one of the considerations we’ve thought about here. Whether it’s Saturday or Sunday, it’s definitely given me something to think about.”
