There is reportedly a “sense of doom and gloom” among some WWE employees due to merger

Endeavor’s planned merger of the WWE and UFC brands was officially announced in April of 2023 and the deal is expected to be finalized by the end of September. It’s being said that Endeavor and WWE are hoping to create a sports entertainment empire valued at more than $20 billion dollars.

According to PWInsider.com, there is already a “sense of doom and gloom” among some WWE employees. There is a feeling that those not in the production studios or directly involved with WWE talent are in danger of being let go. With WWE and UFC not requiring duplicate departments in some cases, there are reportedly several employees “quietly looking for their next job out of fear of having to pivot and getting out ahead of potential layoffs.”

The potential cuts have apparently been a big topic of conversation among those working in Stamford at WWE’s headquarters.
