The latest regarding what WWE has planned for The Rock’s return heading to Wrestlemania 38
As previously noted, the early word is that the 2021 Survivor Series PPV will be taking place in Brooklyn, NY at the Barclays Center and WWE is looking to make it as big of a show as possible.
Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Podcast confirmed an earlier report that there are plans for The Rock to appear at Survivor Series which will be the 25th anniversary of his debut with the company.
Here is what Zarian noted about The Rock’s return heading into Wrestlemania 38 in Dallas, Texas…
“You’ve got a big show in a big building and you’re trying to sell it out. I mean who better than […] the most electrifying man in sports entertainment. He is definitely Walking Tall, but he was in Get Shorty. Dwayne ‘The Rock’ is expected for Survivor Series. I feel confident that is the plan.”
“By the way, Rock vs Roman, that is what is soft on paper for the main event in Dallas. I mean, Dallas, 100,000 people, you need the freaking Rock.” (quotes courtesy of RingsideNews.com)
It was recently reported that Jimmy Uso is a important part of the Rock vs. Reigns storyline that WWE is looking to build heading into Wrestlemania.
