Teddy Long on WWE’s high ticket prices: “Vince McMahon would have never done anything like this”
While speaking on the Road Trip AFTER HOURS podcast, former WWE personality Teddy Long commented on the high ticket prices for WrestleMania 42…
“They can do that. And the reason they can do it is because they’ve got the power and they’ve got the money to do it. But here’s what you’ve got to understand, too: these people already have money and power, and they’re asking people to give them money when we’re in the worst economy of all time right now.
I mean, jobs are not happening. Healthcare — just a whole lot of stuff is going on right now. People can’t even go — I swear, I hate to even go into Walmart now. It’s ridiculous, man, the way the prices are and stuff.
So how can you feed your family and then try to entertain them and go to this big event? You can’t do that. Your family is going to come first. I would hope so. I’m going to buy some food and stuff for my family before I go see anybody.
So I just don’t understand it, man. It’s really amazing. Like I said, and I’m with you on that — Vince McMahon would have never done anything like this. Vince would have figured a way out so that it would have come out and everybody would have made money. Everybody would have been happy, including all the fans too.”
