Steve Austin vs. Kevin Owens reportedly discussed for Wrestlemania 38
During the February 14th 2022 edition of WWE RAW, Kevin Owens cut a backstage promo and talked about how it didn’t look like he was going to be at Wrestlemania 38. Owens then insulted the state of Texas.
Shortly after the Owens promo aired, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com noted that “WWE has made an overture to get Stone Cold Steve Austin for a WrestleMania match.” Bryan Alvarez of F4WOnline.com wrote that Austin vs. Owens “has been discussed for WrestleMania.”

“Stone Cold” quickly became a trending topic on Twitter with fans speculating about a “stunner vs. stunner” confrontation at Wrestlemania.
Back in December, Twitter account @WrestleVotes reported that WWE was attempting to bring in Austin for “a meaningful part of the event outside of just appearing.”
"The one good thing about not being on #WrestleMania … it means I won't have to compete in Dallas, Texas."
