Speculation that Def Rebel could be done with WWE when their contracts end

DJDTP, a music production company based in New York, has been producing WWE theme music under the pseudonym Def Rebel since 2019. According to Cory of PW Nexus (@hashtagPWN), WWE using mainstream artists for music is expected to happen more often. Cory noted that Def Rebel aren’t gone but the company “is looking to change it up like they used to in the past with outside artists contributing to music in some fashion.”

PWN noted the following via their Discord server…

“We’ve heard rumblings that Def Rebel will not have their contracts renewed when it ends. We’re trying to reach out to figure out when that is exactly and to add more confirmation to this. This is not set as fact yet, and until further confirmation, take it as a grain of salt. This adds to the report by Cory, where WWE is looking to utilize more outside artists more and more.”
