Sheamus believes that him vs. Gunther vs. Drew McIntyre should have been Wrestlemania’s main event

During an interview with Virgin Media Sports Stories, Sheamus commented on what he still wants to accomplish in WWE. While providing his answer, Sheamus brought up his match with Gunther and Drew McIntyre at Wrestlemania 39…

“The IC Title. That’s it. I want to main event Wrestlemania too. I want to main event WrestleMania. That’s another one. The IC Title and main event Wrestlemania are the two things I want to do. I should have main evented Wrestlemania last year or this year [2023]. It should have gone on last. It stole the show at Wrestlemania. Nothing came close, match-wise, the match me, Gunther, and Drew had. I knew that was always going to be the case. Sheamus has not wrestled on WWE television since his match against Edge (Adam Copeland) in August.
