Rumored matches for the 2022 WWE Clash at the Castle PLE

Roman Reigns vs. Drew McIntyre for the unified WWE Universal title is scheduled to take place at the 2022 WWE Clash at the Castle PLE on Saturday, September 3rd.

As far as rumored matches go for the Castle PLE, Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com noted that Riddle vs. Seth Rollins is “confirmed internally” even though it hasn’t officially been announced. Riddle vs. Rollins was originally scheduled for Summerslam but ended up being postponed.

Ronda Rousey is “suspended” as part of a WWE storyline but a rematch between her and Smackdown women’s champion Liv Morgan is rumored for the Clash PLE. Meltzer wrote in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that “while we don’t have this confirmed as a rematch for Clash at the Castle, we do have confirmed that at press time the plan was for Rousey to be on that show.”

Meltzer also noted that a Judgment Day vs. Edge and Rey Mysterio match “looks probable” for the Clash PLE.
