Ricochet’s WWE contract has reportedly expired and he is expected to join AEW

As seen during the June 10th 2024 edition of WWE RAW, Ricochet was attacked backstage by Bron Breakker and ended up being taken out of the arena in an ambulance. This angle was done to write Ricochet off television due to his contract coming to an end.

Over the weekend, Ricochet’s WWE profile was moved from the active RAW roster to the alumni section. Fightful.com is reporting that Ricochet’s deal with the company officially expired at midnight on July 1st and he is now a free agent.

According to Fightful, sources in both WWE and AEW expect him to go to AEW. At this time, Ricochet is not planned to face Will Ospreay at AEW All In although that could always change. Ospreay has publicly expressed interest in teaming up with Ricochet in AEW.

Samantha Irvin, who is engaged to Ricochet, is expected to continue with WWE for the time being.
