Ricochet believes that he is the “most marketable” and “most profitable” person in AEW
During an interview with The Sportster, Ricochet commented on what legacy he wants to build as the inaugural AEW National Champion…
“Honestly, as much as I don’t like to admit it, it’s going to be hard work. It’s going to be as hard as I’m willing to work. As big as the legacy is, as prestigious as this title is going to be… I think it’s up to me to decide the legacy of the title.
And I think that comes with the work that I put into it. Over the past couple of months—really, this past year—has shown everyone that I can… I can. And honestly, when I say ‘this past year,’ my whole career has been about making things and making people look better than they actually are.
So this is just another thing that I’m going to make one of, if not the, most prestigious titles in AEW. Right now you’ve got the United Championship, you’ve got the International, the Continental, the TBS, the TNT, the Women’s World, the Men’s World, and now you’ve got this one.
And I think out of all the people in the company, I am the most marketable. I’m the most profitable. I am the most interchangeable one—whether it’s pop culture or whatever it is. I’m the most marketable, and this title is the prettiest one. So I think those two things together are going to blend perfectly.”
