Rey Fenix loses International title during the October 10th 2023 edition of AEW Dynamite

Just prior to the October 10th 2023 “Title Tuesday” edition of AEW Dynamite, AEW President Tony Khan announced that Jon Moxley was not cleared to compete in his scheduled match against International champion Rey Fenix. Orange Cassidy ended up taking Moxley’s place in the title match.

During the match, Fenix was dealing with his injured back and Cassidy was able to take advantage of it. Cassidy picked up the win to regain the title after hitting an Orange punch. Cassidy is now the first two-time International champion.
