Trick Williams vs. Eddy Thorpe in a strap match took place during the WWE NXT Vengeance Day 2025 PLE. Here were the highlights…

* Williams and Thorpe started fighting before they could be tied together with the strap. Williams took the strap and attached themselves together. Williams continued his momentum until he was pulled off the top rope by Thorpe. Thorpe used the rope to tie Williams’ legs together. Thorpe took the strap and whipped Williams in the back and chest. Thorpe also tied Williams to the ring post.

* Williams was eventually able to make a comeback and applied a submission with the strap. Williams whipped Thorpe repeatedly with the strap but Thorpe gave Williams a low blow with the strap. Thorpe then scored the pinfall victory over Williams with a knee strike. The announcers reacted like it was a major upset.
