Results of Seth Rollins vs. Finn Balor at WWE Summerslam 2023 PLE

Seth Rollins (c) vs. Finn Balor for the world heavyweight title took place at the WWE Summerslam 2023 PLE in Detroit, Michigan. Here are the highlights…

* Balor had “seven” written on his shoulder. Balor attacked Rollins at the end of the ring introduction but Rollins fought back and the bell rang to start the match.

* Rollins started to built up momentum but then Balor sent him into the ring post. Balor gave Rollins the powerbomb into the barricade that Rollins did to him in 2016.

* Back in the ring, Rollins made a comeback and gave Balor two buckle bombs. Balor countered a falcon arrow and both guys were down.

* Rollins avoided the coup de grace and hit a pedigree. Damian Priest then made his way to ringside. Priest took a cheap shot and Balor hit the pedigree but Rollins kicked out.

* Rhea Ripley and Dominik came to the ring and Priest wanted Balor to use the Money in the Bank briefcase. Instead, Rollins hit the curb stomp but Balor kicked out.

* Rollins tried to fight off Judgment Day but Balor managed to hit coup de grace. However, Rollins kicked out.

* Priest slid in the briefcase with the referee distracted for Balor to use but Rollins ended up giving Balor the stomp on it and scored the pin fall victory.
