Oba Femi (c) vs. Je’Von Evans for the NXT world title took place during the WWE NXT Heatwave 2025 PLE. Here are the highlights…

Evans went for his springboard cutter, but Femi blocked it. Femi then launched Evans into the air and delivered a shoulder tackle. Evans used his speed to regain momentum against Femi, but when he attempted a dive, Femi caught him.

Femi largely dominated the match with his strength. He delivered a chokeslam, but Evans kicked out. Despite being outpowered, Evans fought back with several strikes and then hit a springboard clothesline.

Evans continued building momentum and hit a Frog Splash, but Femi kicked out. Femi responded with a cutter and went for a top-rope cutter, but Evans countered it with a strike.

After the referee was accidentally knocked down, Evans finally hit his springboard cutter. A second referee came down and counted three, but the original referee noticed Femi’s foot under the rope. The match continued, and Femi tossed Evans out of the ring through a table. Femi then got Evans back into the ring and pinned him with a powerbomb.

After the match, Ricky Saints came to the ring and had a face-off with Femi.
