Results of Mercedes Mone vs. Mina Shirakawa at AEW WrestleDream 2025

Mercedes Mone vs. Mina Shirakawa in a champion vs. champion match took place at AEW WrestleDream 2025. Here are the highlights…

TBS champion Mercedes came to the ring right after Kris Statlander retained her AEW Women’s Title against Toni Storm. Mercedes got on the mic and told Statlander to leave her ring. After Statlander walked out, Mercedes issued a title-for-title open challenge. Mina Shirakawa, the interim ROH Women’s World Television Champion, accepted the match.

After a fast start from Mina, Mercedes was able to slow the pace down. Mercedes hit the Three Amigos and went for the Frog Splash, but Mina got her knees up. Mina built momentum but couldn’t finish off Mercedes despite multiple pin attempts. Mina applied a Figure Four Leglock, but Mercedes managed to escape.

Mercedes regained the advantage with a Meteora on the apron. After missing a Meteora in the corner, Mina reapplied the Figure Four. Mercedes escaped again and tried to win by putting her feet on the rope. She then poked Mina in the eyes while the referee wasn’t looking and applied the Statement Maker submission. After Mina escaped the hold, Mercedes hit the Money Maker, but Mina grabbed the rope. Mina countered another Money Maker, but Mercedes won the match with a backslide while her feet were on the ropes.

After the match, Mercedes celebrated her victory, but it was interrupted by Statlander. Statlander laid out Mercedes and held up her title.
