Kazuchika Okada (c) vs. Konosuke Takeshita in a Continental classic tournament semi-final took place at the 2025 AEW Worlds End PPV event. Here are the highlights…

* There were “holy sh*t” and “AEW” chants when the match started. The two traded holds on the mat in the early moments. After they went to the outside, Takeshita was sent headfirst into a chair. Back in the ring, Takeshita tried to fight back, but Okada drilled him with a DDT.

* Takeshita was able to build momentum after hitting a brainbuster, but Okada slowed things down by gouging the eyes. Okada then flipped off Takeshita, which led to a strike exchange between the two. Takeshita countered the Rainmaker with a Blue Thunder Bomb, leaving both men down.

* Takeshita countered another Rainmaker attempt with a poisonrana, followed by a powerdrive knee strike, but Okada kicked out. At that point, Okada loosened the top turnbuckle and grabbed a screwdriver. Behind the referee’s back, Okada struck Takeshita with it and scored the pinfall victory.
