Results of Jon Moxley vs. Swerve Strickland at AEW Dynasty 2025

Jon Moxley (c) (with Marina Shafir) vs. Swerve Strickland (with Prince Nana) for the AEW world title took place at AEW Dynasty 2025. Here are the highlights…

* Moxley and Swerve wrestled on the mat in the early moments. Moxley gained the upper hand by knocking Swerve off the top rope to the outside. Moxley drove Swerve’s head into the steel steps, and Marina took a cheap shot while the referee was distracted. Swerve was busted open, and Moxley bit the wound. Moxley then gave Swerve a Paradigm Shift onto the steel steps.

* Moxley continued to dominate, but Swerve kept fighting, and Nana provided encouragement from the outside. Moxley tried to choke out Swerve, but Swerve escaped.

* Swerve took down Moxley with a House Call kick, and both men were down. Marina brought the world title briefcase into the ring but was confronted by Nana. Marina ended up hitting Nana with the briefcase. Moxley went for a cutter on Swerve but accidentally attacked Marina.

* Moxley set up a ladder outside of the ring and climbed to the top with Swerve. After scratching and biting Moxley, Swerve put Moxley through the announce table with a swerve stomp from the ladder.

* Back in the ring, the two men exchanged shots. Moxley threw a chair at Swerve, but Swerve ducked, and the referee was hit. “Hangman” Adam Page came to the ring but was attacked by the Death Riders before he could do anything. However, Page was able to fight them off. Page laid out Moxley with the Deadeye, but the Death Riders continued their attack. The Opps ran down and went after the Death Riders.

* Swerve hit the Swerve Stomp on Moxley, but then the lights went out. When they came back on, the Young Bucks took down Swerve with the BTE Trigger. Moxley then pinned Swerve to win the match.
