Hayter brought the aggression to Thekla in the early moments, sending her into the barricade and ring steps. Hayter also chopped Thekla in front of Lou Thesz’s wife, Charlie, at ringside. Thekla gained the upper hand after hitting a crossbody on Hayter to the outside.

After Thekla delivered some offense, Hayter made a comeback with a backbreaker. Thekla responded with a spear, but Hayter’s foot was under the bottom rope. Thekla attempted her spider walk but was caught with a lariat. Hayter then hit another one to secure the victory.
