Results of Jack Perry vs. Katsuyori Shibata at AEW WrestleDream 2024 including returns of MJF and Adam Cole

Jack Perry (c) vs. Katsuyori Shibata for the TNT title took place at AEW WrestleDream 2024. Here are the highlights…

* Shibata out-maneuvered Perry at the match’s start and Perry went to the outside to regroup. Perry threw water at Shibata and capitalized on Shibata getting angry. Shibata started absorbing Perry’s chops and delivered chops of his own to Perry. Perry tried to kick Shibata and Shibata brushed them off.

* Perry finally gained the advantage with the snare trap submission but Shibata got to the rope. Perry gave Shibata a DDT onto the floor and continued to work over Shibata in the ring. Shibata regained the upper hand and applied a sleeper but had his back on the mat with his shoulders down which led to Perry being declared the winner.

* Perry was going to attack Shibata with the TNT title after the match but Daniel Garcia ran down to make the save. MJF then made an appearance and Perry hit Garcia from behind with the title.

* MJF cut a promo and commented on making movies during his absence. MJF revealed that he found his Dynamite Diamond ring and was going to use the ring when Adam Cole’s music played. A returning Cole then ran down and made the save for Garcia.
