“Hangman” Adam Page (c) vs. Samoa Joe for the men’s world title took place at AEW WrestleDream 2025. Here are the highlights…

Joe gained the early advantage, while Page regrouped on the outside. Joe went after Page, and after placing him in a chair, hit a Rolling Barrel Kick. Back in the ring, Joe hit the STO and continued to deliver offense on Page. Page fought back, and the two exchanged chops.

Page started to mount a comeback with a sunset flip powerbomb out of the corner. He yelled, “Come on, motherfu*ker,” as he delivered offense. Joe countered the Buckshot Lariat with a Coquina Clutch submission, but Page got his foot on the bottom rope.

Page countered a Muscle Buster attempt with the Deadeye, but Joe kicked out. Page then had to hit Joe with three Buckshot Lariats to retain the title.

After the match, Joe showed respect by raising Page’s hand, but then attacked him. With the Opps’ help, Joe struck Page with the AEW Championship. Joe then gave Page a muscle buster on the title.
