Results of Gunther vs. Randy Orton at WWE Bash in Berlin 2024 PLE

Gunther (c) vs. Randy Orton for the world heavyweight title took place at the WWE Bash in Berlin 2024 PLE. Here are the highlights…

* Ludwig Kaiser did the introduction for Gunther. The crowd sang a song and Orton gave them applause. Gunther and Orton had a feeling out process in the early moments. The crowd started doing a wave and Orton joined in.

* The two fought on the outside and Orton gained control but sending Gunther shoulder-first into the steel steps. Orton gave Gunther his trademark suplexes onto the announce table and then brought Gunther back in the ring.

* Orton dominated the match for several minutes with several moves including a superplex. Gunther’s arm was hurting but he fought back and the two exchanged chops. Orton gave Gunther a thumb to the eye and regained the upper hand.

* Gunther was able to counter an RKO attempt with a German suplex. Gunther came off the top rope with a splash but Orton was able to kick out. Gunther continued selling his arm as the crowd chanted “this is awesome.” Gunther went for a powerbomb but his arm gave out on him.

* Gunther was finally able to hit a powerbomb but Orton kicked out. Orton countered another powerbomb attempt with an RKO but Gunther kicked out and the crowd chanted “holy shit.”

* Orton took Gunther to the outside again and suplexed him onto the steel steps. Orton then suplexed Gunther off the steel steps through the announce table. Orton then threw Gunther back into the ring.

* Gunther avoided another RKO attempt and applied a sleeper which Orton was able to escape from by going after the bad arm. However, Gunther delivered multiple elbow strikes and reapplied the hold. Orton broke out but Gunther applied the hold a third time. Orton passed out and Gunther was declared the winner.

* After the match, Orton shook hands with Gunther.
